HIV/AIDS in Central Pennsylvania:
The History of the AIDS Epidemic in Central Pennsylvania
About the Exhibit
This online historical exhibit chronicles the HIV/AIDS epidemic and how it affected people in Central Pennsylvania, particularly places like Harrisburg, Carlisle, Lancaster, York and other nearby cities. This exhibit was created for the LGBT Center Central PA History Project largely using materials from the Dickinson College Archives and Special Collections.
We have lost a huge chunk of history due to AIDS. We have lost two generations of people who died because they didn't respond to the drugs. So, I think the history of the remaining people, the living, is important" -John Folby
